Honouring the Australian Defence Force at Wagga Wagga Christian College

In the lead-up to Remembrance Day, Wagga Wagga Christian College honoured the invaluable service of the Australian Defence Force by hosting a dedicated Defence Force Day.

Students from Years 5–8 were challenged both physically and mentally as they rotated through a series of engaging activities designed to test teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience. The rotation of activities included cracking codes, tackling obstacle courses, and playing human Battleship. 

The event was coordinated by our Defence School Mentor, Mr Gellert, who led a committed team of student cadets and teachers to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their preparation and leadership created an atmosphere that was both fun and meaningful, and our students rose to the occasion with enthusiasm.

Supporting Defence families and recognising the contributions of Defence personnel is an integral part of our College community. For more than a decade, a Defence School Mentor has been a valued member of our staff, providing ongoing support to students and strengthening our connection to those who serve.
