Riding with a Mission

Monday 3 April 2023 Bradley and Christine Quick in Year 11 had a special visitor who they shared with the whole Secondary School. Tommy Quick, their cousin, is a man on a mission. After suffering a stroke at the age of 12 Tommy has the courage and the drive to undertake some serious fundraising and awareness building for the Stroke Foundation. Having completed a ride across Australia Tommy is now well on his way riding from Wilsons Promontory to Cape York. He stopped by the College to share his story and the students were intrigued. Tommy communicated clearly to the students how precious life is and that no matter the circumstances there are opportunities for each of us to do our best and keep trying. Tommy took many questions after his presentation and one summed up his resilient spirit, "Tommy do you enjoy riding such long distances?" The answer was emphatic: "No! I don't, it's hard, but I keep going because that is what I said I would do."
